Switching & onboarding
Changing systems affects people as well as records. We’ll work with you to plan the move around your service, the information you need to bring across and the team’s first day using Careborne.
Step 1
We’ll work through your current systems, service types and priorities with you. Together, we’ll agree the records to bring across, who will do each part of the move and the scope, cost and timing.
Step 2
Careborne’s migration workspace maps source fields to their new home, with assisted mapping where appropriate. You can review how available exports will fit before anything is imported.
Step 3
Validation highlights records that need attention before import. Representative checks and reconciliation help the people responsible for the move confirm what has come across and resolve outstanding issues.
Step 4
We’ll discuss roles, access, templates and service settings, and plan training around real tasks: recording a shift, preparing a handover or reviewing the home. Agree the support your team needs before go-live.
Step 5
Agree a transition date and a support plan, with named owners for any outstanding checks. Everyone involved should know what happens next and where to turn with questions.

What creates duplicate work, what managers chase and which reviews are hardest to prepare.
Contract dates, staff availability, data-export options and any procurement requirements.
Timing and migration scope depend on your source data and agreed work. Please don’t send care records through the public enquiry form.
